Everyone loves the piglets. It's just a fun cute animal. We are expecting new batches Spring 2023!

Breeds we are currently specializing in are Duroc X.

These pigs are known for their dark color patterns, and large size. This breed can be grown out in under a year, or you can take your time. Either way, it's a very fit pig.

Durocs are also pretty Docile. Their temper is that of a dog. The males can be a little pushy at times, but it's easy to get away from them if you feel un-comfortable. From time to time, our Male Maker gets a little attitude and tries to shove us a around, but for the most part, he has no intentions, nor have any of our females tried to harm us. Males get substantially bigger than the females, except during pregnancy. They can get huge and carry 10-15 piglets on average.

Females tend to be a little more of a loner .. unless you have food. While the males seek attention, and seek out a good head rub, the females don't really seem to be interested. They will come up, get a good petting, then move along as if you aren't there.

Pro move to get a pig to like you, and requires a little trust both ways, is to get a belly rub in. Males especially like this, and will go into a trance like state, and even roll over, or sway to one side. After some time, they learn this behavior and begin asking for it anytime you are near them.

Deposits and holdings start the first week of birth, and delivery or pickup takes about 6-8 weeks minimum. During that time, we take care of the piglets, have them inspected by a vet if needed, and treat them for any medical needs. We also ensure a healthy piglet is given.

There are VERY rare cases, where will offer a piglet early to be bottle fed. This is usually due to some stressful situation or problem that has left the piglet unable to be tended for by a mother. We will not remove a piglet from a feeding mother otherwise. It's a requirement that they remain with us during the entire weening processes. Get your order put in! They are usually pre-sold by the 4-5 week.
