250
Two Hundred and Fifty Years.
That's a long time. Well, sort of. It's along time, but as many of you know, time is this train, just moving without slowing down, and that was just yesterday.
In-fact, hop across the pond, and 250 years is considered slightly used, maybe new. The United States is 250 years old this 4th. Lets all remember what it took to get just a smidge into history, and that many before us, have fallen to protect the world we live in today.
Humans have been around for a long time. By main stream science, 300,000 years. By the universe's time, not very long. In that time, we've become a society, a real machine of humans if you will. Pure will to exist, and mine the reality we all share. So 250 years, is pretty small, and yet so very big.
Happy 4th to everyone!
Now.. Onto that news shall we?
We finally landed a deal with the old dollar general building in Maysville! This is huge, and we're excited to share that we'll be relocating in July to 1006 Main St. Maysville NC, 28555. It's been a blessing to get this opportunity!

and special thanks to the original owners who made this possible, as well as the town of Maysville who helped land this opporunity. It's hard to define the appreciation we have for everyone who made this possible, and our patrons! We look forward to growing and not letting you down! So what's in store for the old DG? We are planning to bring a small farm/homestead feed store, to town. Not only do we want feed, we want useful items, things that matter; things that drive you nuts to drive 25 minutes to Lowes for a 3.00 part. We're not yet fully sure what it will evolve to become, so we're going to need your help to understand what everyone needs. Stay tuned for more info on this, but we want to be more than just a feed store, and be more of a solution to the industry for everything we need to have a farm, and homestead. We have some amazing plans, and we think you'll love it. Stay tuned for more on this developing story!
Facebook - Sadly,
Sadly, Sarah's account we think was hacked. She was the admin to Little Planes Farm, and in the middle of June, she received a notice her account was banned, and there was no option to appeal. It also said we were given 3 appeals, and used them all up, which we'd never had a single notice. We downloaded

the info Facebook allowed us to have, and it showed some unusual activity just before being banned. We're totally in the dark, and efforts to reach facebook fall short of empty. There is no email, no person to talk to, no one to explain anything.
A quick google reveals there are a significant news about facebook users getting banned due to the new A.I. looking for violators of guidelines. Somehow we got caught up in the web, and now, it leaves out a facebook page and unmanaged, and no way to access. We are following steps to regain access to the business page, but its a really difficult process that seems staged to fail. We found we're not alone and this is a crazy news story. Sarah is devastated, and with no way to fight it, we have no idea why they even banned her. Meta will not allow us to speak to a person, only their A.I pet robot, who has been 0 helpful.
Sadly, we currently do not have access to the business site, but we're working to follow a long path to regain access. Mostly while speaking to an A.I robot, and not a human person. The sad thing is, this is a billion dollar company, and they leave no means to reach a true support person. We've spent thousands of dollars on facebook ad's, it's truly a sad blow with real impacts to people. A quick google of "Facebook false bans" shows a full on movement with 100k plus petitioning to the issue. If you recently tried reaching out to facebook, please email or call us!

This should be a glimpse into the future, for what's to come. Sadly..
So, now that we have a nearly 9k sqft building, are we going to continue self pickup!?
This has been a difficult topic, and one we've been spending alot of time on to dream about. On one hand, we realize the people who rely on self pickup and want to keep this, but on the other hand, the building we are moving to presents lots of challenges, that we didn't have before. We can't simply let people into this building due to regulations, safely, and many other topics we didn't have to worry about with out other building.
We're working on a solution that may help, but for now, once we move, we will temp discontinue this service. As an trade-off, we're going to be open Monday-Sunday 9am-5pm and we're only 5 minutes down the road on most days, so if an after hours pickup is needed, it's not the end of the world to come up.
This isn't something we're just going to brush away, we're going to come up with something magical so stay tuned for info on this topic. For right now, we appreciate you working with us to manage this new change, and promise we won't leave you hanging when you need something.
Thank you for everyone's support! Have a great weekend!
