2025... Here we come!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from Little Planes Farm!

It's been a very special year for us, and we've done some amazing things together. Here is our final 2024 Post to top off the year for us all!

Here's the latest news and info!

JAN 2025 - We'll be introducing a new building at the same location, only bigger! It's almost done being built, and expecting it in Early to Mid January. At 40ft Long, we'll have more inventory, and increased supply of feeds. With our increased size, it means more can be stored and

less delays or out of stock feeds. This is a monumental step for us, since we could only fit so much into our current building, it caused delays and weekly trips to resupply inventory along with our twice a month freight deliveries. It's been a wild one to maintain this schedule, but now the size of this new building will solve a lot of issues for us all. We'll be continuing our normal schedules and will remain open each weekend 9am - 3pm. We'll also be continuing the use of door code entry for members for after hours pickups.

We also landed a Jones County SMB Grant, to help us provide upgrades and new enhancements to our new building. Many thanks to Jones County and Duke Energy for providing the grant, and special shout-out "thank you" to the town of Maysville who helped us obtain such a gift.

Some hints for 2025, we'll be looking for a potential 2nd location to supply. Lots to be determined here, but we're working on new angles in other areas to open up the possibility of multiple locations. We'll keep you posted on this as we move through 2025.

Showtime Dog Feed Supply Chain Issues:

Multiple times this year, we've experienced an interruption for the supply of Midsouth Dog and Cat Feeds. This is a big deal for us, and we know it is for you too. We've been

told the issues have since been resolved and normal supply should return. With the new building in place, we also intend on heavily stocking more Dog and Cat Feed Inventory to combat potential future slow downs. It's a fair issue, but I do believe the Mill and Midsouth Feeds are working to get stock back and genuinely do believe they are working to better these issues.

FLEA and TICKET Treatment:

We've been constantly asked if we'll be supplying Flea and Tick medicine known as "Nitenpyram" or also known as Cap Star. We have an potential avenue to acquire a source of

Nitenpyram, that would be significantly cheaper than store bought. Currently retailing for about $6 per pill, we'd be looking at about $2.00 per Pill. We're currently exploring the legal side of this to ensure we'd be compliant in reselling it. Stay tuned for more information about this in 2025.

Nitenpyram is an oral flea treatment commonly used for dogs and cats. It is a fast-acting, over-the-counter (OTC) insecticide that belongs to the neonicotinoid class of chemicals.

Key Points:

• Purpose: Kills adult fleas on pets within 30 to 60 minutes of administration.

• How It Works: Nitenpyram blocks nerve signals in fleas, causing paralysis and death. It targets fleas without affecting the pet.

• Form: Usually available in pill or capsule form.

• Duration: Effective for about 24 to 48 hours. Does not provide long-term flea prevention—commonly used to quickly eliminate existing fleas before applying a longer-term preventative.

• Safety:

  • Safe for puppies and kittens 4 weeks of age or older and weighing at least 2 pounds.

  • Minimal side effects, though some pets may experience itching as fleas die.

• Common Brands: Capstar® is a popular brand that contains nitenpyram.

UPSIDE and Free Money:

PIG SALES 2025:

We'll be doing our normal spring Piglet sales, and expect to have a small select batch of piglets available. These are Duroc Cross breed, very large, and intended for pork production. Although they make great docile pets too, and we have a couple that basically have a name, social security number, and rights at this point. But they are great products, and we'll be

available for sales again in early Spring. We expect $65-75 per piglet and will have limited selections. Contact us early on if you plan to secure any ahead of time. They are usually all sold before 8 weeks of age, which is when we release them to you.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

The year has zipped by so fast. I think it gets faster a little bit more each year. We've watched our animals, kids, and everything else grow. We managed to make a small dent I think in some big box store efforts, to the point we can see them trying to adjust in our area to such changes. We strongly believe in what we're doing, to better animal life quality, knowledge, and without the corporate greed factor bearing down on us all. Our primary goal has been to keep feed affordable and make it easier to get with friendly family like atmosphere. I'm proud to say we have a unique relationship with every just about every customer we have, and we appreciate that.
